Foundation Support Resources
Welcome to the Foundation Support library. Our resources in this area are designed to help you secure grants from private foundations (local, regional, or national) or from government agencies. Please note: if you are looking to raise money from small family foundations or donor-advised funds at community foundations, you may find Major Giving resources more helpful (see our Individual Giving library).
New to Public Media?
In addition to the grantseeking resources you'll find in the menu options at left, we recommend the following general resources to help "ground" you in your new position:
Highlights:
APTS/DEI Grants Center: Visit this CPB-funded database of foundation and government agency profiles, plus a calendar of upcoming submission deadlines.
How to Browse our Grantseeking Resources
In the menu at the left, you'll see several different ways to search our Foundation Support library:
Focus Area: These categories help you look for resources related to the specific task at hand, such as prospect research, case development, cultivation, or stewardship and reporting.
Grant Support Type: Here you can search for resources related to the type of project you hope to have funded. Examples include grants in support of programming initiatives, community engagement, equipment, or "bricks and mortar" expansion.
Resource Type: Want to go straight to a particular form of help? You can zero in on station samples, tutorials, articles, relevant research findings, and more through this set of categories.
If you're looking for something very specific, you can always search by Keyword in the box at the top left.
